OnCorps Timekeeping
Reminders:
Timesheets are due bi-weekly on Mondays. Please mark your calendars!
Be consistent with your hours from week to week to avoid falling behind.
You cannot log time on any major federal holidays.
Vacation and sick time are not reported.
Do not pre-load any service hours. Only time served can be logged.
AmeriCorps members should break every 6 hours, including lunch. Your breaks cannot be counted as part of your service hours.
To enroll you in our AmeriCorps program, you must complete the following 5 steps promptly upon receiving our initial enrollment email. Enrollment can take up to two weeks to complete, so it is important to move quickly on these steps.
Complete Your Contact Form. This is sent to you via AdobeSign and must be completed before any further enrollment steps can be taken.
Complete BOTH Background Checks. This includes an NSOPW (Sex Offender) Check and FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Check.
Complete Your AmeriCorps Enrollment Form. The invitation to complete this form will be sent to you via email. Once completed, AmeriCorps will verify your social security number and citizenship status which takes between 2-5 business days.
Review and Sign Your Member Service Agreement. The member service agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your service. It is sent via AdobeSign after your background checks have been completed.
Attend Your AmeriCorps Orientation. This is the last step in the enrollment process. Every AmeriCorps member is required to attend an orientation which typically takes about an hour and a half and is done virtually over Zoom.

AmeriCorps members are required to log at least one (1) hour of training sometime throughout their term of service, but there are several opportunities to earn it. Training can be that from the host site needed for the position and/or training from our AmeriCorps program staff. AmeriCorps members must receive an AmeriCorps orientation at the beginning of their service and a training at the end of service, which covers how to use the education award and life after AmeriCorps. Other training focused on professional development will be incorporated throughout the term of service. Trainings from the AmeriCorps program staff will be communicated in the position description on the member service agreement. Other on-demand trainings are available for supplemental hours.

AmeriCorps members are required to do some minimal reporting throughout their term of service. All members will submit a short mid and end-term evaluation as well as a mid and end-term narrative report.
AmeriCorps members who are serving in our program as peer mentors or in other student support roles that contribute to our performance measures (college retention) will be required to submit bi-weekly mentee reports in OnCorps.

Mid Term Evaluation (emailed via AdobeSign)
End Term Evaluation (emailed via AdobeSign)
After successfully completing the required minimum number of hours for the position and serving through the term end date, members will be exited from the College Corps AmeriCorps program. Similar to enrollment, the exit process should be done in a timely manner. Under no circumstance should a member leave their term of service without completing the necessary action items required for exits! Once members have completed all the required exit requirements, they will be officially exited from AmeriCorps and will gain access to their education award within 2-3 weeks. Education award information, including resources and training, will be provided to members before their official exit. All members must complete the following exit steps:
Accurately complete and submit any remaining OnCorps timesheets. These must also be approved by the supervisor.
Complete the end-term member evaluation. An evaluation will also be completed by the supervisor. This is emailed to the member via AdobeSign.
Complete the AmeriCorps exit form and survey in MyAmeriCorps.
Complete the end-term report.

FAQs
How many hours do I need to serve?
This depends on what term type you're enrolled in. Full-time members serve 1700 hours, minimum-time members serve 300 hours. There are other AmeriCorps term types as well, but full and minimum-time positions make up the bulk of our program.
Do I have to serve all of my hours between my start date and end date (term of service)?
Yes. Your minimum hour requirement must be served between your start and end dates. After your service agreement has been signed, we cannot adjust your end date to allow you more time to serve and complete your hours unless it is for a compelling personal circumstance (birth of a child, death in the family, etc.).
What happens if I don't complete all of my hours by my end date?
Unfortunately, if your minimum hours are not completed by your term end date, you will not be eligible to receive your education award.
Can I exit the program early?
End dates are typically created based on the host site need, so we don't usually exit members early. However, members may exit up to two weeks early if all projects and hours are complete and the supervisor has approved the early exit. Members may also exit early for cause, which is a voluntary termination. Members who exit early for cause do not earn their education award. Members can also exit the program early for compelling personal circumstances (birth of a child, terminal illness, etc.), in which case they are eligible for a portion of their education award.
Can I spend my education award on anything I want?
No. You may use your education award for education-specific expenses. For example, tuition, student loans, specialized classes, GI Bill approved programs, etc. Other education expenses such as books, laptops, etc. may be covered. However, members should talk to their school's financial aid office to determine what costs are eligible with their institution.
I am (or was) a stipend member. Where do I access my W2?
Your W2 will be mailed directly to the address you listed in your iSolved account, which is our payroll vendor. Members can also access their W2s in their iSolved account electronically.
