Additional Info About BST Support Services

  • SEDOL BST provides formal observations, data analysis, written recommendations, and staff training.

  • Any materials recommended will be created and provided by the BST.

  • Staff training may include formal training on the recommendations and/or on general behavioral topics or in vivo modeling.

  • If the BST recommendations include new methods for data collection, the BST will create the data collection forms and train staff on how to use them.

  • The BST may be involved with FBA/BIPs, Crisis Safety Plans, and IEPs as requested.

  • If a crisis situation occurs during an observation, BST staff will assist by modeling, verbal prompting, and use of appropriate CPI techniques as needed.

Behavior Specialist Team Supporting Distance Learning

  • We can support through video observation, video consultation, email communication, phone calls, check ins, and team collaboration

  • IEP/BIP/FBA assistance

  • Material creation (token boards/penny boards, visual schedules, social stories, etc.)

  • The BST assists the educational team by problem solving ways to decrease problem behaviors throughout the student’s day

  • We can provide recommendations to the staff, and parents as needed.

  • Any teacher who has a student displaying challenging behavior in their home that is interfering with distance learning can complete the referral form: Behavior Specialist Referral Form
