FREE-ED Center designs and delivers practice-oriented learning programmes that strengthen key competences essential for active participation in today’s society and labour market. Since its establishment in 2021, FREE-ED has built a strong competence-based profile, responding directly to the needs of its local and regional community.
Our training activities focus on:
Active citizenship and civic engagement - supporting informed participation and community involvement
Social entrepreneurship - encouraging initiative, responsibility, and socially driven innovation
Entrepreneurial competence development - including creative and experiential approaches such as theatre-based methods
Participatory approaches and collaboration, fostering dialogue, inclusion, and collective problem-solving
Working in a rural, bilingual Transylvanian context, FREE-ED engages both young people and adults (16+) from diverse backgrounds. Through short-term, learner-centred courses, we support employability, personal development, and life skills, while ensuring that learning remains accessible, relevant, and closely connected to real-world contexts.
Our competence-building approach is grounded in close cooperation with educators, trainers, civil society actors, and local organisations, allowing us to continuously adapt our programmes and maintain high relevance for learners and stakeholders alike.
