Google Tools and Google Classroom Online Professional Development

It all starts at the Google for Educators Teacher Center. Scroll down the page to explore the program options or jump directly to the Google Tools Resources page to learn how to better utilize each of Google's most widely used education resources such as Google Classroom, Forms, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Hangout / Meets, Youtube, Blogger, Maps, ... etc. No matter your choice of commitment to this PD opportunity, you are encouraged to register your SEBRSD email account on the Google for Educators site to manage and track your Google PD. You can independently accrue technology PDPs by completing modules, lessons, units and courses on the site and collecting the badges and other competency recognition awards the site provides.

Go a step further .... Become a Google Certified Educator Level 1

SEBRSD will reimburse the exam fee ($10) and award 15 PDPs for any staff member who successfully attains Google Certified Educator Level 1 certification while working for the district. Completing the Fundamentals Course prepares staff members to become Level 1 certified. By reading, watching videos, and doing activities, you'll learn how to integrate Google in your classroom. You can start and stop lessons at any time and track your progress through the course. At the end of the course, you'll be ready to take the exam to become a Google Certified Educator Level 1.
