Your Volunteer Coordinator will email all waiting and applicant volunteers with all of the open volunteer shifts.
Once you see a shift that works for you, please respond to the email!
The Volunteer Manager will coordinate a start date with you and will email you all of your “first day” information.
You will receive virtual training dependent on your role to review prior to your first onsite training.
During your first training shift, you will have a staff member available to you throughout the entire 2 hours; together, you will shadow and review information and practice your volunteer role together.
During your second shift, your trainer will complete training on any tasks that were not covered during your first training shift. After all training is complete, your trainer will review all tasks and ensure you feel comfortable working independently. You will be able to get independent hands-on experience during the remainder of your shift, and your volunteer trainer will be available if you have any questions.
If you move roles or add roles to your volunteering, the same general process will occur - every role receives a virtual training, a full 2 hour training shift with a staff member, and then support as needed while you gain independence. Some roles will require additional training days dependent on the role's responsibilities.
