We want to welcome you to Naval Air Station Pensacola, the “Cradle of Naval Aviation”, the first Navy site to be designated a Naval Air Station back in 1911 and where all Naval and Marine Corps aviators begin their training toward their Wings of Gold.  NASP is committed to fully supporting the operational and training missions of the over 120 tenants assigned.  This training function encompasses members from all four DOD services and the Coast Guard and is home to more than 16,000 military and 7,400 civilian personnel.  Commands include the Naval Education and Training Command, Navy and Air Force Training Wings, Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training, Naval Aviation Schools Command (Flight School), the Navy Medicine Operational Training Command, and, of course, the Blue Angels.

Getting to NAS Pensacola

Visitors (those without a DoD ID card) must enter NAS Pensacola through the West Gate only at the south end of Blue Angel Parkway.  Follow directions for the National Naval Aviation Museum or Pensacola Lighthouse.  Graduation and pick-up is held at the museum.

Cadets and parents arriving for check-in and drop-off MUST have pre-approved access on the base security list or be a DoD ID card holder/sponsor.  If access is needed, indicate that on your cadet's Travel Info form submission.   Check-out will be after graduation at the museum on the public side of the base.  See the map below.

AVMT Graduation Instructions

Graduation for Class 2501 will be held at the National Naval Aviation Museum on NAS Pensacola on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 1400 (2:00 pm CST).  Parents, families and guests must enter NAS Pensacola through the West Gate with a valid photo ID.  See below for base access instructions.  Procedures for non-U.S. citizens and other information are listed on the NNAM website: https://navalaviationmuseum.org/plan-your-visit/

Base Access Procedures

Cadets and families must follow the instructions in the Welcome Aboard letter to be added to the base access list for check-in or graduation.

Visitors to Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola will now only be required to show a single government-issued identification card. State-issued driving licenses and passports are acceptable. All U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals 18 and older must have a state-issued identification card or passport.

As a reminder, public access to NAS Pensacola will be available from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. through the West Gate only on the south end of Blue Angel Parkway.  

Naval Security Forces (NSF) may perform 100 percent ID checks of all adults entering the installation. Please ensure all personnel have an acceptable form of ID ready when entering to present to the NSF Sentry. 

Note:  Visitors will not be permitted past the interior sentry gates unless sponsored and escorted by a DoD ID card holder.
