Brick is a structural element that weaves the facades of the pavilion alongwith concrete slabs that increasing the stability and gives a light form to the structure.
The diagonal arrangement of bricks to create a stable and light structure. The central brick is replaced by a concrete beam to establish an uniform load transfer through bricks. Various patterns were made, but the cross shaped diamond pattern helped the structure t the most stable compared to the rest.
The model shows the upper half of a module which is mirrored to the bottom by changing the placement of connectors at the bottom.
The pavilion is made of 5 modules that spans about 5 metres, which is then repeated on the above level. The porosity created in the diamond form and the cavity in between makes it look lighter and elevated.
