PROCESS:
Design Sketches for cafetaria:
The idea was to create a free flowing space formed between the tress to create a pavilion like structure for the cafetaria. This pavilion like semi open space would help one to have a constant connection with the forest and experience it not only visually but also through other senses.
Understanding the materiality of the structure with stone plinths and bamboo mesh green wall and how it will help in creating a pavilion like space. The construction of the central courtyard will also help in collecting the water for rain water harvesting.
Design Sketches for yoga and resource center:
Design Sketches for the shops:
The initial idea was to use the same form for multiple elements, like the wall becoming the roof. That slowly got translated into different elemants by rsponding the trees infornt and the respective programs. The curvilinear form assists the movement of people in being smooth across the fabric of the edge.
SITE ZONING AND DIAGRAMS:
By creating the cafetaria towars the main road will help in the foot fall for the structure.By creating walkways and identifying open areas where farms, workshops and shops could be placed. Also the shop fronts can also be used for cycle parking.Using the slope analysis the location for rain water harvesting ponds are identified which would collect water from the structures as well as from terrain.
