Settlement Studies

In this module we visited an village named Mategaon in Kanand Taluka, Aurangabad District. We were divided into several groups and were trying to learn the environment of village, How are houses built depending on the climatic condition?, Which crops are grown by the villagers?, The in and out of economy.

The groups were divided as Economy, Region, Institutes, Cultural Objects, Mapping and Housing

In Economy Group, we talked with the local peoples and got certain information about the in and out of economy in the village.

The major occupation in the village is Farming and major crops grown are jwar, cotton, corn, onion,etc

We also visited their farms and got to know about the expenses spent on certain crop and the profit they get on each crop.

We were merged with the regional group and we made the final drawing.
