Chromebook Distribution for School Year 2026-27

Hello and welcome to Oak Crest Middle School!

All of our students receive a touch-screen Chromebook, stylus, and charger for the school year.

Here is the information on when and where your student will receive their device this year:

7th Grade:  

Friday, August 7th from 9am-11am during Wave Camp (7th Grade Orientation)

Or

Monday, August 10th from 1-3pm (Mosey Monday/Open Campus)

If you are unable to attend any of our orientation or open campus events, then you will receive your Chromebook in your first period class on the first day of school.

8th Grade:

Chromebooks will be delivered to your first period classes on the first day of school (Tuesday, August 11th).

8th Graders in ISPE: Please see Mrs. Novom in the front office to get your Chromebook when you arrive to school on the first day.

If you are unable to attend the first day of school please check in with Miss Lisa in the Learning Commons the next time you are on campus.

New Students

First, welcome to Oak Crest!  You will receive your Chromebook at the same time as the other 7th and 8th grade students so please see the information above for all of the details.

Important reminders for school Chromebooks:

-Only fully verified and enrolled students will receive a school Chromebook.  If you haven't completed the full enrollment process, please contact Brooke Barney at brooke.barney@sduhsd.net

Please do not eat or drink around your Chromebook.

-No stickers, drawings, or engravings are allowed on school devices.

-If a Chromebook or Chromebook accessory is lost, stolen, broken, or damaged there is a replacement cost.

-SDUHSD does not offer Chromebook insurance, but the prices for replacement parts are extremely low.
