NEW FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2025-2026
INSURANCE IS NO LONGER OFFERED ON CHROMEBOOKS.
Starting in school year 2025-26 the district will no longer partner with third party companies to offer students insurance for their Chromebook. Instead the Board voted for a significant reduction for the cost to repair or replace school Chromebooks and accessories.
For more information please click on this link to the SDUHSD Policy & Fee Update Notice.
Please take any broken or malfunctioning Chromebook to the Learning Commons so our Learning Commons Technician can take a look at it. The Chromebook will be either troubleshooted or replaced. If the Chromebook is unable to be immediately fixed you will be given a replacement right away. If the Chromebook was damaged a replacement will still be given right away, but a fee will be applied to your account for anything that needs to be replaced. We kindly ask that you pay for any replacement parts, however you will receive a replacement Chromebook no matter what. Please find more details on the costs down below.
At the beginning of each year students and their caregivers sign the SDUHSD Acceptable Use Agreement that states that students are responsible for any accidental or willful damage to district devices. Understanding that expensive repairs would be a hardship for many families, the Board has set the maximum fee for Chromebook damage or replacement at $75.

Double-check you have entered the correct details when trying to log on. Sometimes you have to enter your full password and sometimes just your username, without @my.sduhsd.net.
Your username is your last name(s), first initial, and last four numbers of your ID. It should look something like this: jacksonp1234.
*Please note that if you have a longer last name(s), the account name will be abbreviated to 14th character of your last name. For example, if a student's name is Kai Henderson-Fallbrook, and his student ID is 1215678, his user name would be HendersonFallbK5678@my.sduhsd.net
Also make sure you have the letters for your account handle correct. After your username you will need to type @my.sduhsd.net - please make sure this is correct. Students sometimes forget the my. part, muddle the letters SDUHSD, or put .com instead of .net
Always remember to keep a note of your password! If you have forgotten or need to reset your password, you can reset it here. Need help? Check out this video or visit the Learning Commons for help.
This is the most frequent problem students experience. Fortunately, it has an easy solution.
If you can't sign in to your District account, it might be because your computer/device is already signed into a different account. Do you have a personal Gmail address? Do your parents/guardians? You might already be logged into one of these.
Make sure you are signed out of all other accounts before trying to access your District account. Here is a quick tutorial for keeping your Google accounts separated when working on a personal device (or any device with multiple users).
Be sure to use the links on the student start page, my.sduhsd.net. This page contains direct links to all the pages you will need to access, including the SDUHSD Aeries portal.
If you try finding sites simply by Googling them, it can sometimes lead to the wrong place or a different district's portal.
First check for Chrome OS updates and restart your Chromebook.
If that doesn't fix the problem, check out this resource to troubleshoot common issues.
Charge your Chromebook. Sometimes it can take up to 10 minutes for your Chromebook to turn back on if it has been sitting for a long time or seems like the battery is dead.
If the screen in black but the side power light is on, try pressing the power button for 20 seconds until the light goes out. Then press it again to turn the Chromebook back on.
Printing is disabled on District-managed Chromebooks.
If you need to print while on campus, print stations are available in the Learning Commons.
