About Me

Hello friends, families, and students of Earl Warren. I am looking forward to meeting you at back to school night. For those of you who are unable to make it I hope that you find my website informational. Please feel free to email me any questions that you may have throughout the school year.

This will be my fifteenth year at Earl Warren and I am very excited to be part of a school that is truly amazing!! I love Earl Warren and I feel so fortunate to work with such wonderful students and staff. I come to Earl Warren from previously working in the San Dieguito district. My teaching history includes student teaching Chemistry at Torrey Pines, teaching eighth grade physical science at Oak Crest, and teaching Chemistry at San Dieguito Academy. I feel that my experience at the high school and eighth grade levels will help to prepare the seventh grade students for their next venture in education. Furthermore, my passion and love for science, health, and children will encourage all of my students to strive for success in my class.

I received my bachelors in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California at San Diego. At UCSD, I had the opportunity to participate in the Howard Hughes Science Enrichment program, work in the Laboratory at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, and participate in mammal studies at the world famous San Diego Zoo. After UCSD, I continued my education by completing my Masters in Education and credentials in supplemental science (all science from K-9 grade), specialized Chemistry (includes AP Chemistry), specialized Biology (includes AP Biology). In 2017, I received the ¨Crystal Apple Award¨ and in 2019 ¨Teacher of the Year". In addition to loving science and education, I love my family. I have three daughters (23, 20, and 14) and a dog Milo. We love the beach and spend a lot of time there. With my love for science and education, I hope to inspire many of the students at Earl Warren to fulfill those dreams that may require science in their education.
