I began teaching in 2003 and have been a teacher of both middle and high school students in San Diego and the San Francisco Bay area. While completing my teacher certification, I also taught in New York City.  In 2007, my husband and I relocated to San Diego, and I began working at Carmel Valley Middle School then transferred to Pacific Trails Middle School when it opened in 2015. I absolutely love working with the students at Pacific Trails Middle School. 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My son, Will, is in fourth grade and my daughter, Jamie, is in seventh grade.

Teaching runs in my family.  Both of my parents were teachers, my grandmother was a teacher, and my sister currently teaches high school in San Diego; however, my husband is an engineer with a degree in chemical engineering and electrical engineering. So, the sky is limit for my own children! I look forward to seeing where their growing interests will lead them and discovering the many interests of my students as well.
