How to Organize Your Backpack:

1. Find a good open space to tackle this job.
2. Dump EVERYTHING out of your backpack - yes, EVERYTHING!
3. Make 3 piles - turn in to teacher, recycle, and keep for projects/assignments/tests.
4. Take the "turn in to teacher" pile to your teacher immediately!
5. Put the "recycle" pile in the recycle bin.
6. Now, split up the "keep for projects/assignments/tests" pile by teacher.
7. Decide how you want to store your papers - folders, binders, or accordion file.
8. If in folders or accordion file, you just need to put the papers inside...ideally the most current stuff in front.
9. If in binders, you need to punch holes and fit it into the binder...ideally the most current stuff in front.
10. If in binders and you want to be really organized, use dividers to break up your sections into notes, homework, tests, etc.
