Director/Coach

Anna Gravenkamp 

Coach Gravenkamp has been a dance educator and coach for over 15 years.  Coach started with the LCC Dance Team in the fall of 2020.  Her recent experience includes five years as the dance teacher/director/coach at Fallbrook High School and prior to that, 10 years at Orange Glen High School in Escondido.  She was the Director for the 2022 Dance & Movement Workshop for Educators, held annually at Chapman University.

Originally from Northern California, Coach found her love for dance in high school.  She was a four year Rhythmical Madness Dance Company member and student director.  She was an All-American springboard diver and ASB spirit coordinator.  Coach attended University of Nevada Las Vegas on a diving scholarship, while pursuing degrees in Communications and Dance.

Coach performed in UNLV Dance productions throughout college as well as various productions in Las Vegas and LA.  After receiving her BA from UNLV, she was cast as the mermaid in the sea lion and otter show at Seaworld which brought her to San Diego.  Coach Gravenkamp received her teaching credential from SDSU and a Master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University.

Coach resides in San Marcos with her husband Ben, and children Finn (13) and Ryan Marie (10).
