Anika is a first year Master’s student in SDSU’s I/O Psychology program. As a new research assistant in the lab, so far she has contributed to a SIOP submission on early career challenges for I/O psychologists. Beyond the WAR lab, she is an avid yogi, loves spending time at the beach, live music, and crocheting!
Catalina Ochoa is a fourth-year undergraduate research assistant majoring in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Her research interests are in diversity, equity, and inclusion—particularly the workplace experiences of Latinx Americans and other marginalized groups—as well as occupational health, and work–family conflict. In the WAR lab she has contributed to the lab onboarding project and a Latinx Literature review. Outside of research, she enjoys hiking, surfing, and reading!
Giovanni Beltran is a fourth-year undergraduate research assistant double majoring in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Leadership Studies. He is interested in topics like LGBTQ Selective Incivility. In the WAR Lab, he has contributed to literature reviews, co-authored a book chapter (currently under review) on LGBTQ youth of color, and designed and preparing to launch the WAR Lab’s website. At the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) 2025 Conference, I presented our work and was honored with the Best DEI Presentation Award.
Livvy Edee is a fourth-year undergraduate research assistant double majoring in Psychology (I/O Emphasis) and Business Management. Her research topics of interest include Positive Organizational Psychology, Ethical Leadership, and Job Analysis/Design. She has made contributions to projects such as literature reviews, data coding, and measure instrument organization. Apart from research, she loves running, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. One fun fact about Livvy is that she spent the summer in the Galápagos Islands during COVID.
Trevor Chen is a fourth-year undergraduate research assistant majoring in Psychology. He is interested in topics like family–work conflict and illegitimate tasks. In the WAR Lab, he has contributed to literature reviews, conducted statistical analyses, and has co-authored submissions for SIOP. Outside of research, he enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, and surfing. He's also a huge dog person and has a four-year-old dog named Bear!
Victoria Hector is a Point Loma Nazarene University alumna, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 2025. As a research assistant, she has been especially interested in topics such as selective incivility and the work–nonwork interface. Within the WAR Lab, she has contributed to literature reviews and co-authored a submission for SIOP. When she isn’t researching, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, snowboarding, and listening to music. Her dream is to give a TED Talk one day.
Vivian Magahis (she/her) is a fourth-year undergraduate research assistant majoring in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Her research interests include employee safety/well-being and workplace incivility. In the WAR Lab, Vivian has conducted a literature review on follower ostracism and submitted and presented a poster for the 2025 Work Stress Health Conference on negative rumination as a mediator for illegitimate tasks and work-family conflict. In her free time, she can be seen going to concerts, studying at local cafes, and creating jewelry!
