The Office of Advising and Evaluations is a critical component in a collaborative network of campus resources. Skilled and experienced advisers provide academic advising in General Education and Graduation requirements as well as clarify University academic policy and procedure.
The Math & Stats Learning Center offers free group and one-to-one tutoring for Mathematics and Statistics courses. Subjects Offered: Math, Stats, Chemistry, Python, and Physics.
The SDSU Writing Center supports students by providing the following one-to-one sessions with tutors, workshops to familiarize students with different aspects of writing, reference materials about academic writing, and advice from SDSU Writing Tutors.
Supplemental Instruction targets historically difficult courses and offers free sessions to all students on a voluntary basis. Sessions are facilitated by students who were previously successful in the course, known as SI Leaders. These sessions are collaborative and integrate course content and study skills with information gathered from attending all of the class lectures to help students engage in active learning. Active learning in SI Sessions may include memory games, journaling, or diagramming on the board.
The office provides information, advice, referrals, and intervention to students at SDSU. This student-focused resource supports students in addressing and resolving concerns or issues that may arise within the university. Concerns include faculty/staff conflict, financial aid, fee disputes, campus housing, late withdrawals/adds/drops, grade appeals, and enrollment.
The LSC welcomes all EOP students who wish to use our tutorial services, which are offered at no charge to them throughout their undergraduate tenure at SDSU. EOP’s Learning Support Center (LSC) offers one-on-one tutoring in virtually 114 academic courses as well as workshops.
The Aztec Student Union allows for walk-up use by SDSU Students with a valid Red ID for indoor and outdoor study spaces. You must reserve a room at the Union front desk before use, also available during COVID-19.
C&PS offers a wide range of services to help students obtain support for a variety of pressing concerns. These include individual counseling, couples counseling, group therapy, workshops, specialized programs, and appointments with Baxter, the C&PS’ therapy dog.
Student Ability Success Center (SASC) authorizes and provides a variety of services and accommodations, which are determined on a case-by-case basis and in consultation with an SASC counselor. Our goal is to remove barriers that disability creates so that all students have an equal opportunity to be successful in college.
Students receive high-quality health care from certified nurses and doctors at little or no cost. Students have access to a pharmacy, X-ray lab, immunizations, dental clinic, dermatologist, eye clinic, family planning services, orthopedic care, and more.
The Center for Well-Being offers a quiet place to relax. Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, there is something here for everyone. Come in and explore the Alpha chamber, massage chair, chalkboard wall, journal, and other resources. No appointment needed.
Aztec Recreation provides high-quality programs, services, and facilities that inspire active, healthy living and enhance the SDSU experience. The ARC provides special classes, programs, and tools to promote physical health in a clean and safe environment.
The Associated Students Food Pantry provides nutritious food and food program referral services for SDSU students experiencing food insecurity. Each individual will be able to pick up one prepared bag (standard or vegan) and pre-bagged fresh produce, based on availability.
The Economic Crisis Response Team can help any SDSU student connect with resources, both on and off campus, to help get you through your immediate food, housing, or financial crisis.
