The statute allows Wisconsin public and private high school students to take one or more courses at an institution of higher education for high school and/or college credit. Under this section, “institutions of higher education” means an institution within the University of Wisconsin System, a tribally controlled college, or a private, nonprofit institution of higher education located in the state. While technical colleges are not eligible institutions under the ECC program, pupils that have completed 10 th grade will continue to have the option to take courses at technical colleges through Start College Now program, statute, 38.12(14).
Application date deadlines: Fall Semester Courses- March 1, 2023 & Spring Semester Courses- October 1, 2023.
The School District of Ladysmith will pay for up to 18 credits through ECCP or SCN if students remain in good academic standing in their coursework. Students who do not earn a passing grade in an ECCP or SCN course will be responsible for reimbursing the district for the cost of the course and materials.
