Harrisburg Capital - June 27, 2024
2024 McCaskey Graduate, Myasija Rivera, spoke at a public school rally on the steps of the capital. The event sponsored by Representative Fiedler, focused on school funding especially school vouchers which take funds away from an already underfunded public school system in Pennsylvania. 1st Annual Educators Rising State Conference - April 19, 2024
We had 5 juniors who are Educators Rising members attend the Educators Rising 1st Annual State Conference held at Millerville University on Friday April 19, 2024. Two competed in the Creative Lecture competition taking home 2nd and 3rd place and one competed in the Ed Rising Moment competition earning top ten status!
The students had breakout sessions with Elizabeth Raff, Teacher of the Year and a student PSEA panel. The highlight was engaging in a simulation lab, (movies in google folder) a teacher development training software, interacting with on screen student avatars. Here is the google folder with pictures

Students had 1 hour to write a lesson plan and create the teacher resources for the lesson for a preschooler. They then went over to Wickersham Elementary and taught the lesson to a K4 student.
