Commensalism Ocean - This is a relationship between the shark and remoras. The remora attaches itself to the shark so its being carried along on the shark's power. This allows the remora to travel to different areas without having to expand its own energy to swim. This also does not benefit the shark anything, the shark is not bothered or being harmed by the remora fish
Deer and Eastern phoebe
The Eastern phoebe eats the insects of the deer making it a commensalism relationship.
This Relationship is Commensalism. The Barnacles are attached to the whale just to get food particles. The whale is unaffected. This means that the relationship is Commensalism.
Mutualism of a Monkey and Puppy
Both organisms benefit from this relationship.
The monkey helps the dog by eating the fleas. Monkey gets rid of fleas and gets food.
In this Mutualism relationship, the yellow tangs and lined bristle-tooth fish are cleaning the green sea turtle.
An alligator and an Egyptian plover bird symbiotic relationship is mutualism. The alligator gets its teeth cleaned by a bird. The bird gets its food from the alligator's teeth.
Mutualism- Both species benefit
In this mutualism relationship, the Capuchin monkeys and flowering trees in the tropical rain forest are helping one another, both are benefiting. The Capuchin monkeys are getting pollen on themselves, and transferring it to other trees, allowing them to grow. The flowering trees provide the monkey with food. Overall, both specices are benifited
In this Mutalisim relationship the Clown Fish and the Anemone are helping each other. They are helping each other, The Anemone is protecting the Clown Fish and the Clown Fish is bringing in prey for the anemone to eat.
This is a Mutualism relationship because its helping the fungi and hurting the tree by decomposing it. And the definition of Mutualism is saying that organism is getting helped and the other is getting hurt.
In this commensalism relationship, the fish, shark-suckers, and sea turtle benefits the shark-suckers. These shark-suckers are using this sea turtle as a taxi while being a hitchhiker, they rest behind the shell and eat waste on top of the shell. While the turtle goes through the ocean normally unharmed.
This is a Mutualism relationship between the bumble bee and flowers. This is a Mutualism relationship because the bees take nectar that the flowers make to produce food, but the flower is also being benefit because the pollen from one flower rubs on to the bees hairy body and when they land onto another flower the pollen starts to shake off that way the flower can take it in to reproduce.
This is a mutualism relationship between Manta Ray and Remora. The Manta Ray is the host and is benefiting the Remora by letting it attach to itself and eating all of the parasites and bacteria off of the Mata Ray. Which benefits both of them without either one getting harmed.
In this mutualistic relationship, the hippo allows the barbel fish to enter its mouth . This can come really helpful to the hippo because the fish help remove any parasites that could at some point cause harm to the hippo.
The fungus, microporus xanthopus, and the tree are a parasitic relationship because the fungus absorbs the nutrients from the tree. The tree can also die due to lack of nutrients.
Commensalism is when one species is benefited and the other is not helped nor harmed by it. Here we see the fish hiding in the sea anemone waiting for prey to swim by. The sea anemone does not have any predators, it is helping the fish hide from its predators so it does not get eaten itself. this is a commensalism relationship because the fish is getting helped and the sea anemone is helping.(but not harmed)
Caleb Salazar
The relationship is mutualism. The Fish are tagging along with the sharks for safety, and they eat parasites from the sharks.
This relationship is commensalism. The Remora fish are sucking to the great white shark for protection. -The Remora fish is being helped but the great white shark is not being helped. -The Remora fish are trying to hide from a predator so they are hiding against a bigger predator so theu will be safe.
-This is mutualism between a bird and a zebra, the bird is probably trying to give the zebra a warning that something is going to happen.
- They aslo both contain something from each other.
- The bird is hitching a ride from the zebra.
-This is a mutualism relationship
- The frog eat ants and other things that try and eat the spiders eggs while the spider protects the frog from predators that try to eat the frog or harm it.

In this commensalism relationship the Polar Bear eats the blubber of the marine animal. Blubber is the fat of the marine animal, especially whales and seals. After the Polar Bear eats the blubber it leaves the carcass and the rest. Then the Arctic Fox comes and eats the carcass full of meat. This is commensalism because the fox is benefiting while the Polar bear isn't getting benefited nor getting harmed.
The oxpecker below the zebra acts as an alarm/lookout for the zebra so the zebra knows if danger is nearby.
The oxpecker hitches a ride from the zebra so the zebra acts as a ride for the oxpecker.
They both gain something from each other.

This is a Mutualism relationship between sharks and remora fish. The Remora fish benefits from the sharks because they get a ride and get food from leftovers from the shark. Also, they get protection The Shark benefits from the Remora fish because the remora fish eat parasites on the shark which helps their health, and they are also benefited by when the remora keep the water clean which helps the shark's health.
Ticks on dogs are a parasitism relationship. Ticks are blood-sucking parasites that attach themselves to animals and people. Once attached to a host, ticks feed voraciously. As they feed, ticks can transmit a large number of diseases, including Rocky Mountain spotted fever, ehrlichiosis, Q fever, and Lyme disease.
In the rainforest, there are many examples of mutualism at work. Monarch butterflies travel in large groups to stay safe. Certain insects such as ants and termites rely on each other and work as a team to build mounds where the group will live, or hunt together to find food. This is mutualism because these are two different species benefiting from one another Capuchin monkeys love to eat the flowers from certain trees. When they eat, pollen sticks to them. As the monkey travels, the pollen is carried and dropped, allowing for new flowers to grow.
Tapeworms have a parasitic relationship with the human losing and worm winning
A tapeworm is a parasite that can live and feed in human intestines. This is called a tapeworm infection.Tapeworms get into the body when someone eats or drinks something that's infected with a worm or its eggs. Once inside the body, the tapeworm head attaches to the inner wall of the intestines and feeds off the food being digested. Pieces of the tapeworm break off and come out of the body in poop, along with the eggs they contain. If this infected poop gets into soil or water, it can infect other people or animals.
This is a relationship between a great white shark and remora fish. This is a Mutualism relationship between sharks and remora fish. The Remora fish benefits from the sharks because they get a ride and get food from leftovers from the shark. Also they get protection The Shark benefits from the Remora fish because the remora fish eat parasites on the shark which helps their health, and they are also benefited by when the remora keep the water clean which helps the shark's health.
Coral cells provide algae with shelter and the building blocks for photosynthesis. In return, the algae provide the coral with nutrients.
This is a mutualism realtionship between Clownfish and Sea anemones
Able to withstand an anemone's stinging tentacles, the clownfish use the anemones for protection from predators. In return, the clownfish clean the anemones of parasites, provide a source of nitrogen for growth and regeneration, and even help circulate the water around the anemones.
ants and acacia trees. The ants live in the hollow thorns of the acacia tree and help to protect the tree from herbivores by attacking any that try to eat the leaves or bark. the ants feed off the tree by using specialized structures. In return the ants defend the tree against the herbivors.
Tree/orangutan
The tree is giving the orangutan food from the leaves and providing shelter from its high branches, while the tree isn't being hurt or helped.
When hunting the snow leopard hides in the tall grass so their prey won't see them. It is commensalism because the snow leopard is benefiting and the tall grass is not harmed or affected.
Elephants and birds have a mutualistic relationship because the birds perch on an elephant's back to feed off of parasites on the elephants skin. This feeds the birds while the elephants keep healthy by having the parasites removed.
the silver fox will eat the cacti fruit which contains seeds then when the silver fox lets out its feces. the seeds are there and will be able to grow in other places. the fox also benefits because its food to have energy.
the deer use the trees by rubbing there antlers on the trees to mark there territory and the knock their antlers off.
Red Eyed Tree Frogs live in the trees of the rain-forest. This is because they are safe from predators. They lay their eggs on the underside of the leaves. The tree does not get harmed from the frog, and the frog gets the shelter. They live in the canopy layer of the tree in the rain-forest.
Parasitic relationship between ant and fungi.
Ophiocordyceps Unilateralis ---also known as the zombie ant fungus--- is a parasite that manipulates and kills ants, and is most commonly found in tropical forests. The fungus infects ants using its spores and takes control over its behavior. The fungus leads the ant to a leaf, and attaches the ant to the veins of the leaves using its mandibles. It then stays there until death.

FUN FACT: The "zombies" (more specifically the fungus/parasite) in The Last Of Us are very similar to the zombie ant fungus.
Fleas live in parasites such as mammals and birds. Also they suck out blood.Adults fleas can grow about 3 Millimetres(1/8 inch)long.Fleas live by ingesting the blood of their hosts.
Tongue-eating louse
Cymothoa exigua, or the tongue-eating louse, is a parasitic isopod of the family Cymothoidae. It enters fish through the gills. The female attaches to the tongue, while the male attaches to the gill arches beneath and behind the female. Females are 8–29 mm long and 4–14 mm wide.
Mosquito and humans is parasitism relationship. When a mosquito bites you, it pierces the skin using a special mouth part (proboscis) to suck up blood. As the mosquito is feeding, it injects saliva into your skin. Your body reacts to the saliva resulting in a bump and itching. Some people have only a mild reaction to a bite or bites.
The relationship between ecitoninae – the New World army ants, inhabiting the rainforest floor, and antbirds – small dull-colored South American bird species, is the best example of commensalism. The ants attack anything in their path, and the bird finishes it off.
This image is showing a humming bird drinking from a flowers and uses the energy to fuel their high metabolism. This benefits the flower because the hummingbird moves pollen. From this interaction none of these things are harmed but helped in a small way.The hummingbird's wings are moving in fast motion, blowing the pollen around.
The bee takes the pollen and nectar from the flower. Then, the bee spreads the pollen and nectar onto other flowers which is called pollinating. When bees pollinate it helps them get energy so they can fly and land on other flowers to pollinate.
An example Commensalim is, the Cattle egret stands by the cow while it eats grass because while the cow is eating the grass all the bugs come out from hiding and then that gives a chance for the cattle egret to get food and find the insects faster.
This parasitic relationship is not very gross like others. This relationship shows the mistletoe minding its business but the desert willow tree grows on top of it and sucks all of the nutrients out of the mistletoe, Usually leading it to DIE.
An example of commensalism in a taiga forest is moss growing on trees. The moss gets benefits because it gets a cool place to grow. If the moss grew in the sun, it would dry up. The tree is neither harmed nor helped by the moss growing on it.
The relationship between tigers and golden jackals is also commensalism. The jackal alerts the tiger to a kill and feeds on the remains of the prey left by the tiger.
Leech and Human
The leech is sucking the blood of the human for food which only benefits the leech and not the human which makes this a parasitic relationship because only one thing gets benefited and the other gets harmed.
When the hummingbird goes to the flower it gets nector from the plant to live. Also the relationship between the hummingbird and flower is a mutualism relationship.
This is a mutual relationship between a bumble bee and flowers. When the bee lands on the flower, pollen is rubbing off from the flower on to the bees body. Then when the bee lands on to a different flower the pollen is getting transferred to the other flower. When the bee lands on the flower the bee is getting to eat whatever the flower is producing. In this relationship the bee is benefiting and so is the flower.
Lampreys are eel-like fish that have no scales and can grow up to about a foot long. There are almost 40 species of lamprey, but less than half of them are parasitic. Parasitic lampreys, mostly live in freshwater, although there are some species that migrate between fresh and saltwater. Carnivorous lampreys have a large suction-like mouth filled with sharp teeth and an even sharper tongue. Lampreys use their teeth to clamp onto their prey and use their tongue to slowly scrape away scales and skin. Parasitic lampreys feed by latching their suckers onto large fish like trout and salmon and leave large red sores on the fish when they’re finished.
Remoras will remove ectoparasites from the Manta Rays, while the Manta Rays will help the Remoras gain better access to food and shelter.
The Sacculina barnacle, a parasitic animal, has many ways of controlling its host; mainly the crab. The Sacculina barnacle takes over its host by growing "roots" throughout the crab's body, leaving the unsuspecting crab with no control over its body. The Sacculina takes control over the crab, essentially, mind-controlling the crab. It grows inside the crab's body leaving the Sacculina's body in the crab's abdomen (as shown in the picture) and having its eggs inside the crab.
The Dog and Cheetah have a mutual relationship because the dog is there to help with Cheetah there anxitey and both get a friend
this dog is helping the blind man where the man wont do anything wrong to hurt them self and they both help eachother out.
Sharks and remoras have a mutualism relationship. The remora swims with the shark and removes parasites from the sharks skin, even from inside its mouth. The remora gets a free ride while also getting small missed pieces food of what the shark eats. It is beneficial for both the shark and remora.
Crocodile and the Plover bird, the Egyptian Plover bird goes into the crocodiles mouth and picks out bits of food stuck in their teeth. As the bird does this it is preventing the risk of infections for the crocodile. However, this benefits the bird too as it eats the bits of food from its mouth. These two have a mutualism relationship.
The plant and the human have a Mutualism relationship because the plant gives oxygen to the human and the human gives carbon dioxide to the plants which makes it a Mutualsim relationship
The relationship between the Wooly bats and pitcher plant have a mutualism relation ship. The Pitcher plants give the bats a safe place to roost inside of their pitchers. The pitcher plant gets vital nutrients from the mammal droppings and it gets pollinated.

lumpfish eat the sea lice off of salmon in this mutualistic relationship
The Capybara and the Jacana live in South American rain forest and a freshwater habitat, and in some cases Florida they both benefit the Jecana cleans the Capybara, and the capybara lays on its side so it can clean it, and the Jecana will pick at ticks and it and will it for its meal.
the phainopepla (a bird) and the desert mistletoe have a mutulistic relationship. the phainopepla eats the desert mistletoe to get energy. the desert mistletoe benefits because when the phainopepla drops the seeds it allows the desert mistletoe tree seeds to grow.
Woolly bats and pitcher plants. The woolly bat provides poop for the plant and it uses it as a very important nutrient to grow and stay alive. The pitcher plant provides a roost for the bat (a hideout). So they both provide for eachother in diffrent ways that benifit them, therefore making a mutalism relationship.
As the hippo roams around the birds attach themselves onto it back so while the hippo is walking it attracts insects that the birds can eat.The hippo also benefits because the birds eat the insects that would be annoying him or if there is a parasite like a mistletoe or tick the birds can save the hippo from having to deal with them by eating them.
The senita moth is an obligate mutualism with the senita cactus. Pollination of the senita cactus is dependent on the senita moth, with 75 to 95% of cactus fruit set resulting from nocturnal pollination by the senita moth. The remaining fruit set is resultant from daytime pollination by co-pollinators.
Capuchin monkeys love to eat the flowers from certain trees. When they eat the flowers from the tree, the pollen sticks to them. As the monkey travels, the monkey carries and drop the pollen. Allowing new flowers to grow.
The sea anemone and Clownfish are a perfect example of Commensalism. The Clownfish uses the sea anemone as a safe place to live and eat prey. They also rarely go far away from the anemone. The Clownfish its one of the few species of fish that can survive the sting of a sea anemone.
this specific kind of monkey (capuchin monkey) feeds off of nector from a flower and rubs it on its face and when it does it spreads its pollen and goes onto the other flowers. and lets other flowers grow
The tape worms shed eggs so the fox poops them out. Then when a rodent comes around and eats it they get infected so that when some animal comes around and eats the rodent they get infected with the tapeworm
Mycelium from the Fly Agaric often has a mutualistic relationship with Birch trees. The mycelium wraps around the roots of the birch tree to gain sugars that the tree can produce. In return the tree gains extra nutrients from the Fly Agaric, that the mushroom had originally taken from the soil.
Mutualism is when two organism help each other in ways of survival. An example of this is Algae and Fungi. This mutual relationship actually creates one whole new species of, well.. new. Its not a plant nor an organism. It's unlike anything on earth, and it's called Lichen. It is formed when Fungi protects algae from drying out and supplies it with water. While algae undergoes photosynthesis providing carbs for the fungi. This helps them live in harsh environments such as Antarctica.
Parasitism is when an organism survives inside or attached to another organism. In this picture, a mosquito is on or attached onto a human's skin drinking the blood from it, not just to survive, but to reproduce the population of mosquitoes. This unique insect drinks the blood from a human's skin using a very small, nearly microscopic and extremely hard to see needle, which pokes into the human skin. You may not realize it, but if it weren't for mosquitoes creating mosquito bites on human skin, they wouldn't be a part of our planet. When mosquitoes drink humans blood, the blood is sucked from there leaving less blood, creating a mosquito bite. Because there is not much blood in this part of the skin, it is then often itchy and tempting to scratch. Parasitism plays a big role in food chains, survival, reproduction, travel, and much, much more! mosquitoes may be small, but they aren't called parasites for a small reason! Humans and mosquitoes have a big interaction with each other!
The cattle egret and the Elephant are a perfect example of Mutualism. When the elephant is walking threw the dessert they are most likely going to pick up some parasites. That is where the cattle egret steps in. When the bird lands on the elephants back the bird will then land on its back and eat the parasites. This represents mutualism because when the bird lands on the elephants back it gets food and a free ride and when the bird gets rid of the parasites then the elephant can live a better life by not having aerated skin or getting a sickness.
The Honeyguide and humans have a very interesting relationship. Honeyguides listen to how the humans tone is and the Honeyguides like to play games and play a game almost like follow the leader.
The Goby fish protects the pistol shrimp from predators and the pistol shrimp let sthe goby fish live in its burrow.
The mutual benefits between the coral and algae is that the coral gives the algae a place to live and thrive yet the algae gives the coral their color. So they then both supply each other with what they need to survive in the ocean
A predication is that the cheetah is that the antelope provides food for the cheetah so it can reproduce and so it can feed the cubs.
one Mutualism relationship is a turtle and yellow tangs and lined bristletooth fish. The turtle has small creature parasites and old skin that the fish eats off of the turtles back. both benefit by giving the fish food and the turtle to be clean.
The cactus wren and the cactus share a commensalism relationship. The cactus wren builds its nest near cacti so its young will be protected. The cactus wren benefits but the cacti don't ,yet nothing negative happens so this is a commensalism.
The and Remora relationship is that the turtle lets the fish ride on its back for protection . For example, the fish doesn't know where else to be protected from the shark but the turtle's back .
The relationship between ants and acacias trees is the tree provides a shelter for the ants and the ants protect the trees from herbivores. This protects the tree and the ants from predators.
A Paragonimus is a flat worm found in most parts of Eastern, Southeastern, and Southwestern Asia. It can be found in crawfish and crab, and can be given to you if you eat an infected animal that is undercooked. The illness contracted from the flat worm can be especially dangerous if it goes to the central nervous system where it can cause meningitis.

in the rain forest, capuchin monkeys love to eat the flowers from certian trees when they eat pollen stick to them As the monkey travels the pollen is carried and dropped , allowing new flowers to grow.
Maddy Slyter- Commensalism
SHARKS AND CLOWNFISH
Sharks are known usually to eat fish, but as you see sometimes fish will befriend sharks for protection from other mammals the fish can't defend themselves from.
The fish benefits but the shark does not so it makes it commenalism
a gobiidae and a pitol shrimp is part of a gobiidae fish family a pitol shrimp helps out by when something not safe is near to warn the fish family and it helps out by making nose
