Over the course of several days (February 10th-12th), representatives from each school building (50 total committee members) worked collaboratively, with the support of Tracy Nelson, a consultant from Solution Tree, to align the district’s standard and pacing. The goal of this effort was to create vertically aligned standards, incorporating progressions and learning targets that are consistent across grade levels. In addition, the team worked to identify where these essential standards are embedded in the Benchmark curriculum.

GRADE LEVEL BENCHMARK PACING GUIDES (2025-2026)
QCFA DRAFT Folders have been placed under each of the grade levels - Teachers can access the notes and draft versions of the assessments for backwards instructional planning. Final drafts of the Quarter 2 QCFA will be released in the coming weeks. The Administration window will begin before the winter break on 12/15 and stay open until the end of the first week back 1/9 (January 5th-9th is a Flex Week on the Benchmark Calendar.
These scoring guides provide an overall look at how students are progressing with reading comprehension essential standards. This overall score does not fully capture student progress on these essential standards. CTMs will need to continue to gather evidence of students' performance and conduct further kid by kid item analysis. A few of the questions in the ATLAS portal are not scoring correctly. Since the test has been published and administered we cannot fix the issue for this administration. We will learn from what didn't work and improve the assessment for the next round.
