The student-athletes will learn basic fundamentals, terminology, and rules for football(i.e. blocking, tackling, angles, alignments, LOS-line of scrimmage, and offensive/defensive positions).
The student-athletes will understand the importance of teammates, accountability, work ethic, discipline, and commitment.
The student-athlete will learn the importance of grades, nutrition, weight room, speed improvement, agility, and rest for the improvement of their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Students will know how to identify and use good/ positive communication to avoid inappropriate and risky behaviors, students will know how poor communication can impact relationships negatively.
Students will be able to identify ways to manage weight( eating healthy, nutrition etc), and identify various eating disorders and identify ways to treat them.
Students will be able to identify misuse of tobacco, drugs, and alcohol, and resources and support for treatment.
Demonstrate competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
Recognize the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and/or social interaction.
The student-athletes will begin to analyze the fundamentals, terminology, and rules of the game to help the student-athlete develop as a well-balanced football player.
The student-athletes will begin to develop skills that will allow them to build relationships, hold each other accountable, push each other in a positive way, develop self-discipline to help improve their purpose and help the student-athlete understand the importance of commitment.
The student-athletes will begin to develop a vision for their academic endeavors, nutritional values, muscle development with proper lifting techniques, build on speed improvement and agility drills, and how rest will help the student-athlete become more competitive during games, and in LIFE!
Students will be able to recognize the importance of good mental health and how it relates and contributes to all other aspects of health.
