Classroom Expectations

Our Classroom Expectations

  • In room 106 we follow the Warrior Expectations Warriors take care of themselves, act and interact with others in a kind and respectful way, keep their space clean, welcoming and easy to move in, and are willing to do their best work.

  • Assignment Notebook/Agendas need to be brought to class daily in order to stay organized and prepared. At the start of class, you should be sitting in your seat copying the homework for the day into your planner.

  • WMS expects that all students act with integrity when completing all assignments. Copying another student’s work, cheating on a test, or plagiarizing content is an offense that WMS takes very seriously.

    • Cheating: If a student copies another student’s work (either Homework, in-class work, or an assessment), OR if a student gives another scholar his/her work, it is considered cheating.

    • Plagiarism: If a student uses someone else’s ideas or words as his/her own, or imitates the language, ideas, and thoughts of another author (or person) and represents them as his/her original work, is considered plagiarism.

    • Cheating/Plagiarism will result in a consequence.

    • When using computers for Math Techbook, students are not to use a calculator to solve problems unless given permission to do so. Students must also only be on the Math Techbook webpage with only one tab open.

  • Tardy: You will be considered tardy if you are NOT in the classroom when the bell rings. Please go directly to your seat upon entering the classroom and prepare yourself for class.

  • Entering the class:

    • Take care of your business before you come to class: bathroom, lockers, water, and pencil sharpening.

    • Immediately and silently proceed to your seat and begin the Do Now.

  • Exiting the class:

    • Do NOT begin packing up your belongings until told to do so by the teacher.

    • Once the bell rings, as long as we have finished, you may pick up your belongings, and QUIETLY exit.

  • Absences: You must attend class regularly if you want to succeed. If you are ever absent, you must complete all make up work within the amount of time you were absent. For example, if you were absent one day, you have one day to get and return your make up work. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GIVE ANY ABSENT WORK TO Mrs. McMahon (she will not ask you for the work).

Late Work

  • An assignment is considered late if it is not turned in by the start of the class period on its due date. The assignment can be turned in the next day for partial credit. Anything turned in after the one day extension will be entered into gradebook as a zero.

Communication is the key to success in class! If you are having trouble with class material or there’s something else that’s affecting your performance in class, please reach out to Mr. Moreland and I would be happy to help you. Don’t wait until the last minute to reach out for help or assistance!
