At the end of the day you will want to ensure a few things have been taken care of before you leave.
TOC notes for the teacher
Classroom clean-up
Timesheet completion/hand in keys
TOC notes are an important communication tool between the TOC and the teacher. Before leaving at the end of the day you will complete your TOC notes that outline how the lesson(s) went and if they were completed or not, what assignments were completed and which were not, and any issues or positive shout-outs that should be mentioned.
At the beginning of the day, be sure to pick up the TOC Notes form from the office. At the high school you should have one for each block and at the elementary you should have one or two per class.
Having it available throughout the day will make it easier to note things as they come up.
Throughout the day you may notice that the classroom will become less organized and tidy. At the end of each class/day a quick tidy is necessary. This includes picking up debris, re-shelving books and classroom supplies. Whenever possible, students should be involved in maintaining classroom organization.
Finally, at the end of the day it is important to hand in your keys and complete your timesheet which includes having it signed by administration. You are responsible to maintain your timesheet. The same timesheet is used for the entire month, so it will include days you worked in various schools.
Timesheets are submitted to the SBO on the dates indicated on the back of your timesheet.
