Ms. Bruno

Hello, I'm Ms. Bruno. I can't wait for another great year with all of you! This is my seventh year teaching and fifth year here at Lincoln. I'm currently getting my masters at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (ILL) and live in Chicago. I love baking cheesecakes, skiing, and traveling. Let's have an awesome year filled with reading, learning, and having fun! 

Mrs. Van De Carr

Hello students and families! I'm Mrs. Van De Carr and I am one of the 7th grade humanities teachers. I have been in our district for 15 years and this will be my 13th year teaching 7th grade humanities at LMS. I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor's degree in Education. I am married and a mom to three awesome children. I love reading, decorating, and organizing everything (😄). I am very excited for this year and cannot wait to get to know all of you! 

Mrs. Filja

Hi, my name is Xhorxheta Filja and I will be a seventh grade Math Teacher at LMS. I have been teaching Math for 5 years, 4 of which been abroad. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for patterns and word problems with all the students at Lincoln. 

Mrs. Shepke

Hi Lincoln Families!

 My name is Liz Shepke.  This year I will be co-teaching 7th grade Science.  I am looking forward to a great year of teaching and getting to know your Lincoln student.  I have been in the teaching profession for many years, and this is my third year in SD81.  When I am not at school, my husband and I learn about the world through the eyes of our son, Chase. He is energetic, curious, chatty, and very sweet.  He will begin his educational journey as a 3 year-old preschooler this fall.  I enjoy being his mom and learn everyday from him.  Family and close friends have always been important and I spend as much time with them as possible, always finding time to hang out :).

Mrs. Serio

Hi, I’m Mrs. Serio.  This year I get to teach Humanities. I have been in reading room at Kennedy and Lincoln. When I am not teaching I love to read, write and spend time with my family traveling and hiking. I have two sons and a dog. I can not wait to start this year. 

Mrs. Sevova

Hello Students and Families of School District 81! Welcome to a new school year and welcome to seventh grade! My name is Veselina Sevova and I teach seventh grade Math. I have Masters Degrees in Mathematics and Education. This will be my twenty-first year in District 81. I love teaching, I love Math but most of all I love helping my students master the concepts that we are going to cover in Math this school year.

 I am very excited to meet my new students and look forward to a successful new year!

Ms. Rimsky

Hello students and parents!  My name is Kim Rimsky.  I’m excited to begin my 12th year of teaching Humanities at Lincoln.  I have a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, both from Roosevelt University.  I live with my daughter, my fiancé, my future step-kids, and our puppy Miley.  I love traveling as much as I can, going on walks with our puppy, camping, and coffee!  I believe all students deserve a teacher who believes in them and I know this school year will be exceptional.  

Mr. Pollina

Hi, my name is Mark Pollina and I will be teaching 7th grade resource.  This is my second year at Lincoln.  When I am not at Lincoln I enjoy running, spending time with my family, cooking, and traveling.  I can't wait for another exciting year.

Ms. Biehl

I’m Annie Biehl, the school psychologist at LMS! This year will be my 4th in SD81. I got my Bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota and my Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Denver. As the school psychologist, I work to support student’s social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success. When I’m not at school, I walk my mini goldendoodle GiGi, read books from the library, and cook/eat yummy food :) 

Ms. Paleologos

I’m Maria Paleologos and I am the Clinical Fellow SLP at both Washington and LMS! I got my BA in Psychology from DePaul University and my MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Elmhurst University. At school I will evaluate and treat a variety of communication and speech disorders and support students in reaching their goals to further support their learning. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, going on walks along the lakeshore path, and traveling to new countries! 

Mrs. Greenenwald

My name is Allyson Greenenwald and I am the district music therapist. This is my 13th year at SD81.I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelors degree in music therapy.  I love incorporating student’s interests into our music sessions to help address social, academic, communication and sensory needs all with the use of music! When I’m not at school, I keep busy with my family, crazy dogs and all things plants!

Mr. Jude

As a school-based PT, I work to enhance the capacity of our students to do what is important to them in their daily educational activities and roles in order to prevent, minimize, or eliminate impairments of body functions and structures, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. I’m Ken Jude, PT and it’s an honor to return for my 7th year at SD81. I hold a current and active state license as issued by the IDFPR. I’m affiliated with IPTA and its School-Based Practice Interest Group as well as APTA and the Academy of Pediatric PT and its School SIG.

Mr. Kantor

I am Gary Kantor.  I am the school social worker, and this is my 21st year in District 81.  I received my masters at Loyola University and my bachelors degree at U of I at Champaign.  I am here to work with all of the students to support their academic and behavioral needs.  During my free time, I enjoy exercising, magic, and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Albandia

Hello Friends and Neighbors!  I am Mrs. Albandia and I am joining you at Lincoln after being a Washington School Reading teacher. You can find me in the Library on Wednesdays and in the classrooms of 6, 7, and 8th grade on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday working with English Language Learners. I attended Elmhurst University where I earned my undergrad degree, as well as National Louis University for my graduate work. I have been working in Schiller Park since 1995. When I am not teaching, I like to cook and bake, be outside hiking, looking for birds and animals, and reading.  I enjoy learning about other cultures, religions, and food.   I live with my husband and my teenage son.
