Events

At CHHS graduation is typically broken down into 3 events: a time of Reflection (reflection service if there is enough interest), a time of recognition (Ceremony) and a time of celebration (Banquet and Dance).

Post Graduation/ After Graduation Activities

In the past students or families have organized graduate activities. As per school district directive, CHHS will have absolutely no association with post graduation or after graduation activities. These events are not sanctioned or connected to CHHS and its staff.

Ceremony Rehearsal (graduates only) Wednesday June 3, 2026

This is held the day before the ceremony at the cypress center.

Beginning at 3:30pm (participation is mandatory for ceremony commencement).

This is a practice run through. It also provides opportunity to correct pronunciation and answer student questions. Students are typically provided a meal following the practice.

Ceremonies Thursday June 4, 2026

This is held at the Cypress Centre. All graduation attire (gowns, stoles, caps, tassels and year charms)must be worn.

Begins at 7:00pm, graduates must arrive at 6:00pm.

Doors open for family and guests at 6:15pm.

Ceremony proceedings consist of graduate parade, invocation, congratulations from our MHPSD Board of Trustees and principal, Teacher Speaker address, Valedictorian Address, CHHS Senior Band Musical Selections and the Presentation of Certificates with Photo (inclusive of cord awards)

Tickets for the ceremony guests must be arranged ahead of time. Graduates will be given a "Ceremony Ticket Request" form.

All graduates will be guaranteed 6 tickets but can request more based on availability.

Graduates do not require a ticket.

Tickets will be required at the door to enter the ceremony.

Banquet and Dance Friday June 5, 2026

This formal event is also held at the Cypress Centre. Doors open at 5:30pm with a buffet style meal at 6:30pm followed by a short program of speeches, special music, grad fun awards, a video presentation (multi-media slideshow), a grand march and a dance.

Tickets must be purchased ahead of time and are required for entry.

Graduates are given a "Banquet Ticket Request" form that must be completed and turned in.

Students are guaranteed six tickets and families can request more tickets on the form . These are based on availability once all forms are turned in. The graduates will also need a ticket to attend as they are seated and eating with their guests.

On this form please indicate any mobility issues (walkers, wheelchairs, etc), food allergies and seating preferences.

Banquet tickets will be available to purchase on SchoolCashOnline in May.

Physical banquet tickets will be given to students in a package with their ceremony tickets and must be shown in order to gain entrance. Please do not bring any extra guests as there are only enough seats for those who purchased tickets ahead of time.

$10 Dance tickets are available for those who want to arrive later to attend only the dance portion of the evening.
