About Mrs. Solomon

Dear Kindergarten Parents,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter to introduce myself as your child’s Kindergarten teacher. My background in education includes nine years of teaching, two of which were at Middleton teaching second grade. Prior to teaching at Middleton, I taught Pre-k and first grade.

My heart truly lies in Early Childhood Education. I have a deep commitment to the young child and am dedicated to providing quality learning experiences that allow children to develop at their individual pace. My main focus in the classroom is teaching children to be creative thinkers, independent problem solvers and positive contributors to our classroom community. I know this year is going to be full of fun and lots of learning! I want to know all about you and your child, but first, here is a little about me.

I was born and raised in Chicago. I am the oldest of two. I have a daughter named Mia. I come from a really big extended family, which is great! I received my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University. I have an EL endorsement and also have my master’s in Reading. I also love to travel, hike and go kayaking when I get a chance.

Communication: I believe it is very important for us to communicate openly about your child! Please feel free to contact me at any time. You can always send me an e-mail or send me a message on Seesaw, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am so very excited to meet all the students and families. Please feel free to email me anytime with any questions or comments.

Sincerely,

Lillian Solomon
