MEET MS. GLASER
LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALIST
LIBRARY POLICIES
Hello! I'm delighted to be back for my sixth year at Middleton.
I have always loved libraries and reading. In fact, my grandmother and my aunt were school librarians. It's no surprise then that I chose this career!
I grew up in Skokie, so our diverse community is close to my heart. After graduating from Niles North, I received my Bachelors degree from Northwestern University. I hold a Masters in Library and Information Science from Dominican University, with a special certificate in school librarianship.
In my free time, I love reading (of course), traveling, hiking, baking, and spending time with my friends, family, and dog.
Students can check out two books at a time from the Middleton Library.
First graders can keep their books for up to one week. Second through fifth graders can keep their books for up to two weeks.
Students can return books any day of the week, but can only check out new books on their class library day.
Students must return a book to check out a new one.
There are NO fines for overdue books.
Lost or damaged books cost $15 to replace.
MEET MS. HAGGERTY, LIBRARY ASSISTANT
Greetings! I began as a tutor in the Reading Discovery program back in 2006 and continued as an interventionist in reading and math for all grade levels until 2016 when I became the assistant in the Media Center. I love working with children and I love working in the school library because it is such a happy place. My family has lived in this school district for over 23 years. My own children all attended Meyer, Middleton and McCracken and are now all 20-somethings working in schools too. Sarah’s a preschool teacher in Wisconsin, Dan is a high school teacher in Chicago, and Grace is in graduate school pursuing her Master’s Degree in Social Work and interning at a middle school in Denver.
I love reading (naturally!), writing, gardening, walking around the neighborhood, and swimming.
