Meet The Teacher
Hello First Grade Family and Friends! I am so excited to be a part of Middleton Elementary this school year! I grew up in Lake Zurich with two older brothers and loved participating in the various drama and choir programs in elementary, middle, and high school. I attended the University of Illinois and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and have dreamed of being a teacher since I learned how to talk.
My teaching experiences include teaching Kindergarten for three years in Deer Park, First Grade for two years in Schaumburg, and Fourth Grade for one year in a neighboring Skokie District. I love helping students discover what their strengths are and teaching them how to expand and incorporate these strengths throughout their educational and personal experiences.
Like many teachers I love reading, coffee, time with family and friends, and dogs! Our family dog Cooper brings me laughter, joy, and the best hugs every single day. I am a lifelong Indianapolis Colts fan and can't wait to make it back to Lucas Oil Stadium for a game one day. My newest hobby is hand lettering which I find both fun and relaxing.
I look forward to the exciting and rewarding year ahead! I can't wait to learn and grow together!
