Each student completing the Personal Project is connected with a staff member in the school to provide support.
Students are responsible for:
connecting with their supervisor and establishing meeting times that are convenient for the staff member
ensuring they meet with their supervisor at least three times throughout the Personal Project
bringing their Academic Honesty form with them to each meeting with their supervisor
Supervisors will ask the following questions during the first meeting:
What are some interests that you have?
What are your favorite hobbies/activities?
What motivates you to work hard?
What Product or Outcome and a Learning Goal have you chosen for your project?
What are some ideas you have?
What are you looking forward to this year and why?
Explain what Academic Honesty is.
Supervisors may ask the following during meeting #2:
What is your Success Criteria for your Product/Outcome?
Can you show me your detailed plan for achieving your product/outcome?
Explain your Learning Goal.
What ATLs did you choose to focus on for your project?
Can you show what evidence you have to support your use of your chosen ATLs?
Explain/show what evidence you have to support each of the 7 strands throughout your process.
Show what sources you have that you will be including in your bibliography.
Have you completed your product/outcome and do you have evidence to show me?
Were you successful in achieving your learning goal?
How did your chosen 2-3 ATLs support you in achieving your product and your learning goal?
Can you show me the progress you have made on your Project Report that is due Feb. 17th? (plan for Feb. 10)
Have you confirmed that you have included all sources in your bibliography/works cited page?
Please complete the final meeting section of your Academic Honesty form so it can be signed by your supervisor. This must be turned in with your Project Report.
