Welcome to Stelly’s Secondary Performing Arts Department
At Stelly’s, we strive to create a community of actors, dancers, musicians and triple threat performers, in a supportive yet challenging environment. We are pleased to offer performing arts classes to all students, regardless of prior experience. Students who wish to come out of their shell, meet new people, and try something new, will find that the performing arts department can be a wonderful place to do so. Students who have prior experience will be challenged to grow as performers and musicians, improving upon established technique and training. Students may also have the opportunity to mentor others and pass on their knowledge in a particular subject.

Anything Goes is a classic musical comedy featuring music and lyrics by Cole Porter. It premiered on Broadway in 1934 and follows the hilarious adventures of a colorful group of passengers aboard an ocean liner as it sails from New York to London. The story centers on Billy Crocker, who stows away on the ship to pursue his true love, Hope Harcourt, with the help of nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and the comical gangster Moonface Martin. The show is known for its witty humor, mistaken identities, lively dance numbers, and memorable songs such as “Anything Goes,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” and “You’re the Top.” It remains one of the most popular and frequently revived musicals in theatre history.
