Rowing 

We are excited about our upcoming season! If you missed our first meeting, but are still interested in rowing, please pick up forms from Ms. Pomphrey (Portable #1).

FORMS & FEES:

• Waivers must be signed and returned by Thursday, Sept. 17th

• Fees must be paid in order to row at the first practice on Sept. 26th. 

• Once you have signed and returned the GVYRS waiver, you will also see a $194.25 charge on your child's school account. This fee covers insurance, equipment, facility costs and Rowing Canada/Rowing BC member fees. 

SWIM TEST SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19th @ the Crystal Pool:

• Our school's time slot is 9am. Please be ready on the pool deck at that time. 

• Tell the front desk you are there for the GVYRS swim test to avoid the drop-in fee.

• Students who cannot attend the swim test must attend practice on Saturday, September 26th and complete a swim test in the lake. 

MEETINGS & PRACTICES:

• There will be a mandatory meeting for all rowers on Thursday (Sept. 18th) at 12:07 to discuss the upcoming season (what to wear, expect, where to meet for practice, etc.).

• Practices are Saturdays (8:30-10:30) and Sundays (10:30-12:30) at Elk Lake from Sept 26th - Oct 26th. 

• If your student needs to miss a practice, please have them let us know in advance. 

• It is the responsibility of the family to arrange transportation to and from Elk Lake for practices.
