We are starting a sewing unit for an Applied Skills and Design unit. We will be making foxes out of felt!
The first step for this project will be to gather and store our materials in a large ziplock bag labeled with each students name on it. This includes three pieces of felt, a needle, thread, and templates.
Trace templates onto felt and cut out pieces. Place these directly into your ziplock bag so they don't get lost!
Sew on the patches onto the front body piece. If you are using buttons for eyes, these need to be sewn on now as well.
Attach the front and back of the fox together leaving a small opening (apprx. 5 c.m.) to add the stuffing.
Add stuffing and sew shut!
