Hello everyone,
I am Ryan Davidson, and I will be the homeroom teacher for division 6-1 this year.
I graduated from Claremont Secondary School in 2010 and completed my Bachelor of Education at the University of Victoria in 2017. In the Spring of 2021, I obtained my Master's in Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University. This is my ninth year teaching, and I am looking forward to another great year at Bayside.
Beyond the classroom, I am a keen runner, hiker, and cyclist. I have spent a lot of time over the past couple of years preparing for several endurance events and races. On the academic side, my interests include history, philosophy, politics, and cultural studies. I believe modelling life-long learning is an important part of being a teacher!
With over a decade of experience working with middle school-aged students in recreational, educational, and competitive sports settings, I hold a strong passion for education. My primary goal as an educator is to provide a high-quality learning experience for all my students while fostering an engaging, inclusive, and positive atmosphere that allows them to flourish. It's an honour to be a part of the Sharks team this year, and I'm excited to connect with all of you.
Go Sharks!

Please check the 6-1 homework page each day for updates, links, and important information. Posts for each day will be completed by the end of the school day (2:33) though I often finish them earlier. Checking this website daily is a great way to ensure you are up to date with what your student is working on in class, as well as important due dates for assignments. I highly encourage families to review the website each day if possible.
