Still does not make sense after 10 - 15 minutes? Stop working and ask for help the next day.

Too much repetition of a concept you already understand? Do every other question instead (reduce the number of repetitive questions you answer).

Ask to see Ms. Johnson at lunch recess or after school for extra help.

Go to Homework Club in the LC before (from 8:15) and after school (until 4:00).
