Ryan Silverthorne
Ryan is a student of the University of British Columbia in the Masters of Educational Technology Program and the Principal of the British Columbia International School of Bangkok. He is an active member of the BC Offshore community and has been in the International Education system for over 10 years. He has a wife and daughter and eventually plans to settle back in his home province of British Columbia. Ryan has a passion for the field of education, educational leadership, and educational technology. He believes strongly in inquiry based education and a collaborative approach to professional learning communities.
Feng Fiona Mao
Fiona is a student in the Master of Educational Technology program at the University of British Columbia. She is currently living in Beijing with her husband and two teenage daughters. Fiona initially studied computer science but having children changed her perspective and priorities and she then went back to university to be a P/J, math, and Chinese language teacher. Fiona enjoys teaching and has an interest in integrating her background in computer science with day-to-day teaching methods. In her spare time, Fiona enjoys painting, cooking, and travelling.
Neal Donegani
Neal is currently a student in University of British Columbia’s Masters of Educational Technology program, and teaches computer science as an applied design, skills and technology course at the middle school level. He and his wife are raising three boys in the same school district in which he teaches. Relationship building is an important part of his outlook on teaching, and is why he coaches sport teams, runs a skatepark club at his school and opens the computer lab at lunch so that he can encourage safe technology adoption, and to play Minecraft with students.
