About Mrs Rutley (Ms R)
My parents immigrated to Victoria BC before I was born. I attended elementary school in Victoria as an ELL student and still have so many memories. Since 2001, I started tutoring then teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) in Victoria and overseas until I started my teaching degree at UVic. I graduated in 2009, teaching all elementary grades before focusing on ELL (English Language Learners) in 2014 while taking ELL courses and the inclusive education post degree program.
