Dismissal Routines

Regular School Days: 8:40am - 3:00pm

Early Release Wednesdays: 8:40am - 2:30pm

Half Days: 8:40am - 11:40am

Bussers:

    • Students will be picked up at the front of the building by staff for the first two weeks of school.

    • At dismissal, students will be picked up from their classroom by 5th or 6th grade patrols and escorted to their buses for the whole year.

Walkers:

    • Walkers are dismissed by their teacher to the back of the building by Jennifer Lane.

    • Please pull up as far as you can along the school side of Jennifer Lane. Do not drop children off on the opposite side of the street.

    • Once you have dropped-off or picked-up successfully (kids safely in car), please continue going north down Jennifer Lane.

    • If you need to get out of your car to assist your child, we ask that you pull up approximately 30 meters past the concrete area (past the cross walk) before stopping.

    • Please do not double park. Cars should be in a single line approaching the concrete area.

Transportation Logistics

  • If there is ever a time your student is going home any other way than their usual way, please send a note to inform your teacher of the change. If we do not have a note, your child will be sent home their normal way.

  • Students can only be picked up by a parent, guardian, sibling, or anyone listed on the emergency contacts. If any other person is picking up your child, we need this information in writing (or call the office if itโ€™s a last minute change.) An ID will be required if a new person picks up your child.

  • To report your childโ€™s absence and the reason, call school before the start of class on the day of the absence. Please call each day your child is absent.

  • Our phones do not ring in our classrooms while the children are present. If your phone call is an emergency, please call the office at (847) 357-5777 to speak with our secretaries, Lori Lacursia or Jen Elkins.

  • Students will be assigned a 5th or 6th grade patrol at the beginning of the year that will assist and escort your student to the bus or an after school daycare for the whole year.
