ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The goal of the Flathead High School Theatre Program is to allow Flathead High School students to learn about life and themselves as they experience as many of the various aspects possible. In a typical year, an average of 300 students participate in the curricular and/or extracurricular FHS Theatre Program
OUR SUCCESSES
Our success is the result of a complete program based on love, skill, and commitment. Throughout the past of the program has received tremendous community support as evidenced by the willingness of the community to provide us with the best theatre facilities in our region and by their attendance at each production.
Although the major goal of our program is to produce individuals who have an appreciation for theatre, many of the students who have been major contributors in our programs have become theatre majors and/or have continued their interest in theatre in college and in their later lives. Some of their stories are featured below:

"During my time at FHS, I was able to explore all things theatre related. Some things I never even thought to educate myself on before! We reviewed the classic playwrights, history of theatre, and different types of performing arts. I even took classes that taught me about set design, lighting and tech design, and even costuming. It broadened my mind to what kinds of plays I enjoy watching or being in, and helped me find my voice as an actor. I will always be grateful for the education I got from my wonderful teachers and how they supported me when I pursued this as a career."

"Brown said most of his own best friends are still the people that he grew up with in the Flathead Valley. He gives ample credit to the mentors who shared their knowledge of their craft while he was growing up — from the Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre and Flathead High School Drama Department to the Alpine Theatre Project.
“I was so lucky to grow up there,” he said, “and have access to such deep character building and training. It gave me a world-class foundation.”
