Shannon Robinson-Dutton
Mrs. Robinson has been teaching HPE at Flathead High School since 2007. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Physical Education and Health, and later from the University of Montana with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership. She is currently the department head for HPE at FHS.
Tasia Gates
Ms. Gates has been teaching at Flathead High School since 2013. She earned her Degree in Health and Human Performance and completed her Teaching Credentials through the University of Great Falls. She later earned her Master’s in Exercise Science from American Public University. Ms. Gates is also a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and leads the Black and Orange CrossFit Affiliate for Flathead High School.
Daniel Simmons
Mr. Simmons joined Flathead High School in 2019, after teaching three years at Box Elder Public Schools (K-12). He graduated from Carroll College in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education & Health and a minor in Psychology.
Dirk Johnsrud
Mr. Johnsrud has been teaching at Flathead High School since 2009. He graduated from the University of Montana Western in 2005 with a degree in Physical Education/Health/Earth Science, and later from Walden University with a Masters in Science Education.
AJ Burnham
Mr. Burnham started teaching at Flathead High School starting in 2019 and has been a coach for the Braves since 2017 in Football, Wrestling, and Track & Field. He graduated from Carroll College with a degree in Business Management & Marketing, and later from UM-Western with a degree in HPE and Business Education.
Dan Trageser
Mr. Trageser has been teaching at Flathead High School since 2024. He is in his 16th year as a teacher and coach. He graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Physical Education.
Mitchell Czerniak
Mr. Czerniak joined the FHS in 2023 and brings several years of high school teaching and coaching experience, along with four years of small-college football coaching. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Wooster and a Master of Health and Physical Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and currently coaches Football and Track & Field.
Mac Roche
Mr. Roche joined Flathead High in the fall of 2025. He is in his 10th year teaching and coaching in high school. At Flathead he is a HPE Teacher and Head Football Coach. He graduated from Carroll College with a degree in Health and physical education and special education. Go Braves!
