Helping students start their MAP using Google Sites

Students log into their SD No.48 G-Suite Account.
Students open their Drive where they may find a READ ONLY copy of the SD No.48 MAP Template. If students do not have a copy of the MAP, please direct students to the SD48 Student Hub. Click here for a video showing how to navigate and make a copy of the MAP template.
Students make a copy of the template. They will need to "right click" (laptop), or "ALT + right click" (Chromebook) on the Student Template and select "Make a Copy".Click here for a short video on "how to make a copy". This copy is now in their Drive.
Once students have a copy, they can now edit this version.

Ask students to click on the "Self" page. Here they should see a brief explanation of SELF and a few guiding questions to help students identify the kind of evidence they want to collect and reflect on.

Ask students to click on the "+" symbol and select an image from their Drive. Click on Insert. Readjust the image by clicking and dragging the corners and sides of the image box. Click here for a short video on inserting an image into the MAP.

Adding Text

To add text to the page, click on the words "Click to add text". Have students enter something about themselves. Once they are done, click anywhere outside the text area. Click here for a short video on entering text into the MAP.
