Myrtle Philip Community School
School Learning Plan
A Message from the staff:
Here at Myrtle Philip we believe in collective teacher efficacy, which is why we are engaging in a collaborative inquiry to address the unique needs of the students in our school. "Collective Teacher Efficacy is defined as a staff's shared belief that through their collective action, they can positively influence student outcomes, including those who are disengaged." ~John Hattie
Our School Goal:
If we work together to develop our collective efficacy regarding making learning visible, we will be able to build student capacity in the competencies of critical thinking and collaboration.
Students will develop as critical thinking individuals who collaborate to take ownership over their learning.
Enduring Understandings:
If we commit to maintaining curiosity through the model of collaborative inquiry we will continue to inspire necessary changes and adaptations.
If we work together to develop our collective efficacy we will be able to be the influencers of student achievement.
If we learn together we will become better together.
