This program is run in the public school system and relies heavily on fundraising, community support, and grants
to operate to its full potential. This program helps to create our next generation of environmental
stewards to ensure our trails and natural areas stay wild. Your contributions can help students get the
opportunities they may never have the chance to do otherwise.
If you would like to donate to support this amazing program, we can provide you with a charitable donation receipt.
Please contact eshore@sd48.bc.ca if you would like to donate.
Woodfibre LNG donated $2700 last year to help provide the opportunity for our students to go to Read Island and learn about the ancestral territory of the We Wai Kai Nation.
Alice & Brohm in collaboration with Mons Royale have sponsored one student's tuition and set them up with Merino base layers to help decrease barriers for students in need.
This is our annual Growing Smilies fundraising, where we sell poinsettias, wreathes, and planters.
We host a night where filmmakers come and share their stories about the wilderness as well as having a silent auction and a 50/50 draw. We have many sponsorships to help us run this event and program.
HSS Grocery Fundraiser: If you shop at Nesters Market Squamish or Save On Foods, consider buying grocery gift cards. These are sold at face value in $100 amounts, and Nesters Squamish gives back a percentage to help support the Outdoor Education program at HSS. This doesn't cost you anything more than what you would spend on your weekly groceries! Go to SchoolCash Online here to order (click on the Show All Items tab). Once purchased, we will email you for pick-up details.
