Qualification Categories

1. Star Assessment Scores

• Star assessments are administered three times each school year: fall, winter, and spring.

• Student performance is reviewed based on the highest-performing percentage of students within each grade level and school building.

2. Work Performance Artifacts

Student work and classroom performance may be evaluated through:

• Classroom assessments

• Work samples

3. Social-Emotional Learning and Work Habits

Student behaviors and learning habits may also be considered. Areas of consideration include, but are not limited to:

• Executive functioning skills

• Class participation and engagement

• Intrinsic motivation

• Self-advocacy skills
