I've never used a camera before. Can I still take the class?
Yes! We will teach you how to use a camera— or video camera—during class.
What type of equipment do you use in class?
In Commercial Photography and Yearbook, we use Cannon DSLR cameras. In Audio/Video and PVTV, we use Cannon XA60 4K camcorders. We also use Rode podcast microphones, stand lights, dollies and more! Both classes have access to studio spaces including a photography studio and television studio.
Do these classes count toward graduation demonstration?
Yes! We provide the opportunity for students to take the Adobe Creative Suite exams (Photoshop and PremierePro). Students who pass the test obtain their graduation demonstration for math and English.
Yes! You will be enrolled in the year-long class. Taking the class for a full year allows you to grow in your knowledge and complete the industry certification in the class in May. You are not able to drop this class at semester.
We recommend starting with Graphic Design if you are a freshman! If you are a sophomore, junior or senior, you can start with Commercial Photo I or Audio/Video Production I. To complete a pathway, you must complete TWO full years in the Multimedia Pathway. See the graphic on the homepage for a visual representation of which classes you can take which years.
Nope! We provide everything you need to be successful in the class!
