ALL HOURS ARE DUE BY MAY 1, 2023
5 hours of community service is required per high school year (or partial year) that the student attends at a 27J District School. If the student has been with our district all 4 years, your student is required to have 20 hours of community service in total.
REQUIREMENTS:
Community service hours cannot take place during the regular school day.
Students may not receive pay or academic credit for community service.
Community service must be completed with a NON PROFIT or GOVERNMENTAL agency (not a for-profit business) that is providing a service directly to the community.
PLACES THAT WON'T COUNT TOWARDS COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS:
Court-ordered or disciplinary service
Profitable Companies
Neighbors
Family & Friends
