Tuesday:
Open syllable Patterns
An open syllable ends in a vowel and usually has a long vowel sound.
Example: go, has a long vowel sound and ends in a vowel
Wednesday:
Consonant -le Syllable Patterns
When a word ends in -le, the consonant before it plus the letters -le form the final syllable.
Example: table, -ble is the final syllable in the word.
Thursday:
Vowel Team Syllable Patterns
The vowel team works together to make the vowel sound; the vowel teams must stay together in the same syllable.
Example: explain, the ai make the /a/ sound, and will stay together in the second syllable.
