Each day we have 15 minutes for D.E.A.R. time. This stands for Drop Everything and Read. It is a silent reading time for the entire class. This is such a great time to dive in deeper to a story of their choice. It can be a book from home, the school library, or our classroom library. Chapter books are recommended for this time. Students can be reading the same book at home and school, or choose to leave it in their bin for the following day. We love our D.E.A.R time!
