The mile run is worth 30 points towards your final grade. If weather permits it, we will run on the track. Four times around is one mile.
You will do as many pull ups as you can. Feet cannot touch the floor and your chin must rise above the bar. You must lower yourself so your arms are almost straight. Pull ups are worth 30 points towards your final grade.
Students will do as many push ups as they can. Their body should remain straight and the chest should be lowered to 2-3" off the floor. Only your hands and feet may touch the floor. Push ups add 30 points towards your final grade.
The Shuttle Run consists of four lengths each one being 30' long. You run to the away line, grab a bean bag, return to your starting line and drop the bean bag, repeated one more time. The Shuttle Run is worth 30 points.
The sit and reach test will be one of the easiests you do. Sit against the apparatus with your feet together and your legs straight. Reach as far forward as you can; that is it. It is worth 30 points.
Students will be given one minute to complete as many sit ups as they can. A good sit up is one with your feet on the floor, your knees bent, your arms crossed in front of you. Your shoulder blades start on the ground and your elbows touch your knees while your arms remain crossed with your hands touching your shoulders. The sit up test is worth 30 points towards your final grade.
The dance test consists of learning and performing three line dances: the Electric Slide, Men in Black, and the Sid Shuffle. These dances will be taught as part of our class activities. The dance test is worth 30 points.
