At Awaken, we are dedicated to growing in our actions toward truth and reconciliation. Through collaboration with sylix Okanagan Elders and Traditional Knowledge Keepers, we are learning about our responsibility to the lands we live on. We aim to see the natural world as a teacher and mentor, rather than a backdrop for our experiences. Through practices of two-eyed seeing and reciprocity with the land, we endeavour to deepen our relationships with the natural world and the syilx Okanagan Peoples, who have lived in reciprocity with these lands since time immemorial.
